Moving On

So we’ve ditched the boat and found our home away from home for the next few nights at the Radisson Blu in Frankfurt.

After pre dinner drinks we’ve somehow made our way to the restaurant district to enjoy a leisurely meal.

It’s 8.30pm and it’s daylight outside, people! I could get used to this!

Can you believe it? We found wine barrel hotel rooms in Rudesheim!

Located at the Hotel Lindenwirt, these charming little rooms are made from real wine barrels complete with a bathroom at the back.

Moselle and Rhine River Cruise

Here I am popping up again, after so long, this time in Germany! We have started on our river cruise and today we are in Bernkastel-Kues. This morning we explored this picturesque little town followed by a wine tasting experience.

Yesterday we had to take our passports (just in case!) on our bus trip to Luxembourg. We paid our respects at the impressive American Cemetery, the resting place of General Patton and enjoyed our time in the city.

The weather went from hot last Thursday when we boarded in Frankfurt, to a little cooler and a few showers of rain yesterday and today. At the moment, it is overcast but fine so far.

However I think a river cruise is a wonderful way to explore this beautiful part of the country and I’m loving every minute regardless of what the weather has in store!
